Aquaventure's Scuba for Kids program is specifically designed for those 8 to 12 years old. Kids can try diving in a safe, indoor heated pool.

Prerequistes

  • Kids must be 8 or older to participate in Bubblemaker or the PADI Seal Team programs
  • Kids must be comfortable in the water and know how to swim, but no prior experience is necessary.
  • Parental approval is required.

Course Description

The PADI Seal Team and Bubblemakers program allows kids to have fun blowing bubbles while scuba diving. They will complete AquaMissions with their friends in the pool.

It’s as fun as it sounds! Children who are at least 8 years old can use scuba gear to breathe underwater and swim around in shallow water. The program is perfect for the following activities.

  • Birthday parties
  • Class get-togethers
  • Camp activities
  • Getting the family and cousins together

The PADI Seal Team program takes it to the next level, teaching responsibility and respect for the aquatic realm. It’s broken into two parts.

AquaMissions cover basic scuba diving skills, such as breathing underwater, clearing a mask of water, recovering a regulator and swimming around experiencing the sensation of being weightless. Each session takes about an hour. Complete these AquaMissions and become a recognized Aquaventure Dive & Photo PADI Seal Team Member.

Specialty AquaMissions include adventures like creature identification, search and recovery, and skin diving. Complete all these, and you’ll become a PADI Master Seal Team Member – joining an elite group of young scuba divers.

Activities are limited to Aquaventure’s indoor pool, supervised by dive professionals. Participants will be very prepared when they enroll in the Junior Open Water Diver course.

What do I need?

Parents should ensure kids bring all the gear they normally bring to the pool. Swimsuits, water shoes and a towel. Kids with long hair may want to tie their hair back.

If they have their own wetsuit, they are welcome to wear it.

Aquaventure provides the rest of the gear.

Class Fees

Bubblemaker

The program is $65 per participant, normally with two to four participants. A private program is available for $130.

PADI Seal Team

The program is $195 per participant. A private option is available for $335.

PADI Seal Team Specialty AquaMissions

Multiple specialties are available at $35 per person per dive.

Cancelation Policy—Course fees are due upon class enrollment to guarantee your space in the class. Class fees are non-refundable within 14 days of the class start date and non-transferable within seven days of class start time. Once PADI eLearning codes are assigned and redeemed (a student account is created), these codes are non-refundable. One class date transfer is allowed for a fee. All course fees are forfeited if you do not attend class.
