Diving Raja Ampat and the Banda Sea is simply breathtaking! Marine life thrives from the sea floor to the surface and it’s colorful reef teeming with activity. There are sites that are so pristine and packed with growth that a photographer is hard-pressed to find a spot to place a steadying finger. Exotic sea life and macro critters abound of course and photo opportunities border on overwhelming. Raja Ampat liveaboard trips offer divers the opportunity to explore the entire region. You have the colorful soft coral areas around the southern islands of Misool with the opportunity to see sharks and mobula rays. In the north you have the world famous current rich Dampier Straits with iconic dive sites like Cape Kri and Blue Magic. To the east you can visit pristine coral gardens and climb to the viewpoint above the lagoon at Penemu. We will be diving on the Luxury liveaboard Damai I out of Sorong and disembarking in Ambon.
Explore the wonders of the Dampier Straits and northern Raja Ampat with its reefs, seamounts, schooling fish, manta cleaning stations and cool macro under docks. Visit the lagoon at Penemu and climb to the viewpoint for photo opps. Head down to southern Raja Ampat and the colourful soft coral reefs surrounding Misool. More mantas, sharks and schooling fish to accompany the many macro opportunities. Stop at the island of Koon for passing pelagics on your way into the Banda Sea. Soak up the history of the Banda Islands with its unique dive sites like Lava Flow and the drop offs with schooling fish. Finish with some critter hunting on the world class muck slopes of Ambon Harbour.

*Not Included – These prices do not include airfare. Aquaventure can book your airfare for you if you desire to travel with the group leaders. Just let us know! Due to the remote location of this liveaboard, dive insurance is mandatory for each traveler to carry per the Damai while trip cancellation/interruption insurance is highly recommended. We recommend DAN or DiveAssure for your dive insurance needs. Expect to pay approximately $100/pp in marine park fees while on the boat.
Payment Schedule:
- $500 Non-Refundable deposit holds your spot.
- Second deposit of $1500 is due August 20, 2017.
- Final balance is due November 20, 2017.
Land/dive/air prices are payable by cash, check, or credit card and are quoted to reflect a 3% cash discount. If you wish to use a credit card, this 3% discount will not apply to the above quoted price. Airfare rates are based on early sign up, future rates are approximate, call for current price. Due to rising fuel costs, airlines have been imposing additional charges without notice, prices subject to change.
