Professional Training

Become a PADI professional as a hobby or a career!

If you love diving and sharing diving with others, it’s time to consider becoming a PADI professional!  Whether you are looking to further your dive knowledge and skills, or start a new hobby, or launch into a new career – Aquaventure is the place to go for your PADI Professional Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, or Instructor Development Courses.  Scuba divers look up to professional divers because they are leaders who mentor and motivate them.  As a pro, you will dive more and experience the joy of introducing and sharing the underwater world with others.

The PADI Divemaster course is your first level of professional training. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, like perfecting the effortless hover and refining your rescue skills. You’ll gain dive knowledge and dive management/supervision abilities.  PADI divemasters are role models to divers everywhere!

As a PADI Assistant Instructor, you’ll lead others as you supervise scuba diving activities and assist with diver training. Whether you want to work at a dive vacation destination or close to home at a local dive shop, the adventure of a lifetime awaits you. PADI Assistant Instructors are respected dive professionals who are aligned with the largest and most respected dive organization in the world – PADI.

The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is made up of two parts – the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. Most dive professionals complete the entire IDC and then go on to attend an Instructor Examination (IE), which is the final step to earn a PADI Instructor certification. Becoming a PADI Instructor opens the door to a lifetime of dive adventure!
