Underwater Photography – Getting Started

If you’ve ever wanted to get into underwater photography but just don’t know where to start. Watch the video below. We will be posting a three part series on “Getting Started in Underwater Photography.”

Part 1 is “Building Your Camera System” – choosing a digital camera with underwater photography in mind. Three things to look for when choosing a digital camera include:

  1. Make sure your camera has a underwater housing available for it
  2. Has the ability to expand (compatible with underwater conversion lenses, strobes, and allows you to grow as you learn).
  3. Has the ability to do “Custom” or “Manual” white balance.  Also, that it shoots HD video if you want to be able to make movies.
